Sentinel
Unified intelligence collector hub for PIN
The collection layer of PIN - 17 specialized collectors spanning maritime tracking (AIS), aircraft monitoring (SkyWatch/FlightAware), cyber threat feeds (CVE), prediction markets, Google Trends, social intelligence, and conflict monitoring.
PIN required broad signal coverage, but each data source had different access patterns, noise profiles, and update rhythms. A single collector design would not hold up.
Owned product scope for the intelligence collection layer and designed the collector model, prioritization logic, and integration path into the wider Parallax platform.
System Constraints
Collectors with very different latency, structure, and reliability
Cost pressure on third-party tooling and scraping infrastructure
Need for consistent downstream schemas despite messy source data
Scheduling and health monitoring across a growing collector fleet
What I Built
A 17-collector intelligence hub spanning maritime, aviation, cyber, prediction-market, and social signals.
Normalization flows that fed Stargate and PIN without forcing each downstream interface to understand source-specific quirks.
A more selective operating model for high-value feeds that cut unnecessary processing and third-party spend.
Outcome / Takeaway
Expanded signal coverage without turning the system into an unmaintainable scraper farm.
Reduced projected platform spend by roughly 60% through collector rationalization and smarter infrastructure choices.
Gave the rest of the product stack a reusable intelligence layer instead of one-off ingest jobs.
Collection quality is a product problem as much as an engineering problem. The value comes from deciding which signals deserve to exist and how much they should cost to keep alive.
